Does this touch you?

Your alarm goes off, you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes.

He stays up for days on end.

-- --

You take a warm shower to help you wake up.

He goes days or weeks without running water.

-- --

You complain of a ';headache';, and call in sick.

He gets shot at, as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.

-- --

You put on your anti war/don't support the troops shirt, and go meet up with

your friends.

He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.

-- --

You make sure you're cell phone is in your pocket.

He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.

-- --

You talk trash on your ';buddies'; that aren't with you.

He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.

-- --

You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.

He walks the streets, searching for insurgients and terrorists.

-- --

You complain about how hot it is.

He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.

-- --

You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order

wrong.

He does not get to eat today.

-- --

Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.

He wears the same things for months, but makes sure his weapons are clean.

-- --

You go to the mall and get your hair redone.

He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.

-- --

You are angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.

He is told he will be held an extra 2 months.

----

You call your girlfriend and set a date for that night.

He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.

-- --

You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.

He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.

-- --

You roll your eyes as a baby cries.

He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever

meet.

-- --

You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.

He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own government and

remembers why he is fighting.

-- --

You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of the men like him.

He hears the gun fire and bombs.

-- --

You see only what the media wants you to see.

He sees the bodies lying around him.

-- --

You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.

He does what he is told.

-- --

You stay at home and watch TV.

He takes whatever time he is given to call and write home, sleep, and eat.

-- --

You crawl into your bed, with down pillows, and try to get comfortable.

He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gun

fire.

-- --

You sit there and judge him, saying the world is a worse place because of

men like him.

If only there were more men like him

If you support your troops, send this onDoes this touch you?
Sorry about the us troops

but the fact of the matter is they have no right to be there and shouldn't be. It their own governments fault. if you play with fire you gonna get burnt.Does this touch you?
no.
Yes.
Ah, America.

It's very touching.

Very close to the truth.
If it doesnt it should. Our military is fighting for all of us.
That is the most intelligent thing you have posted yet. There may be hope for you yet. Ya know what since you were good, I won't insult your mom.
I'm thankful, I am proud of our troops, not very proud of the people who don't get it.
That is an awesome poem.

God bless our troops and keep them safe.
May God Bless you all and keep you safe you are always in our prayers! From a wife of soldier!
High 5 ^^^^^

definitely makes one stop %26amp; think how fortunate

we are to be living free in U.S.

I can't even begin to imagine living in horrible

conditions like that
yeah it is touching, and makes me think that people take for granted what they have and should be more thankful.
Mhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
I seen your other post, I don't like them.

This one you must have cut and pasted.

At the end of this post you have ';I bet I made the war supporters play with themselves.';

And...what? you don't support the war? or any war?

People are so blind. It doesn't matter that people don't get it.

It doesn't matter that they don't understand why we are doing this.

They will never understand.

You should always support your troops.

If and when they hear things like they maybe doing the wrong thing.

They start to second guess them selves and that gets them killed.

Do you think living down there is like living anywhere else in the world? Because it's not!!
thank sfor writing this
that is very nice. I support our troops. I'm so thankful for everything they have done for us and are still doing for us so we can live in a free country.
As a Soldier, yes it is touching.

Freedom has flavor the protected will never know the pleasure of its true taste.
Very touching

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS
hate to break it to you but military is all voluteer (been that way a least a week) some of those guys are making as much as $90.00 a day EXTRA TDY ,some will get as much as $70,000. for college -if you stay in the Army will pay for med school or law school. So as much as i appreciate what they are doing, they wouldn't be over there FOR FREE!
erudite I have watched for weeks of you putting down our American troops but what you wrote today just stopped my heart.

My son was in Iraq with 2/2 fox and while you were in your nice cool home putting him and the other men and women down my son lived like that except he did see his friends die. and your right they didn't get to sleep or eat that much ( my son lost weight over there ) but I recon you think that's funny also. But the only thing you forgot to write this time is about the men and women getting hurt over there and coming back home trying to deal with it. See my son was hurt, A pig scum coward drove his car full of bombs into my son's 7 ton truck and my son was one of the lucky ones he only got brain injuries and broken bones but I recon you also think that's funny right?

LITTLE BOY I can set here with a smile on my face cause I'm PROUD of my son but can your mom?
