What's the difference between asking a girl out to be your girlfriend, and asking her to go out sometime?

How can she tell what you're asking? i wanna make it clear that when i say ';you wanna go out with me?'; that she then becomes my girlfriend if she says yes, not just to hang out sometime..What's the difference between asking a girl out to be your girlfriend, and asking her to go out sometime?
There is no big difference....both shows liking towards you speaking to the girl as a friend.....But the liking is a bit deep for your girl friend.....

You ask her out and spend time with her getting to know her. Then if you find that the two of you have things in common and enjoy each others company then you move forward into a girlfriend/boyfriend type relationship. First you should establish a friendship.
Girlfriend shows commitment and going out is more getting to know each other.
